What is Area of People?

Area of People is a secure and closed platform to communicate with your neighbours, receive updates from your caretaker, quickly find important information about your home. We work with your caretaker.

How do I start using the Area of People app?

To use the app, you need to receive an invitation from your property manager. Or you will receive a link from someone in your household.

Did you not receive this? Then check with your administrator or housemate first. And also check your SPAM box ;-)

I did not receive an invitation from Area of People, now what?

Contact your property manager to get yourself invited. The email may also have ended up in the SPAM box. Does your relative or housemate already have access in the app? Ask them to share the link with you or scan the QR code in the app.

How can I invite a housemate or family member to the app?

You can find the link in the main menu of the app under 'Share the app.' Remember, you can only share this link with your roommate.

1) Click on the profile (top-left corner of the app). The menu will open.

2) Click on the 'Share the app' section.

3) Click on the 'Share your address link' button. This option can be shared via your preferred programme on your phone, e.g. WhatsApp.

What is the difference between Area of People and my property manager?
Your property manager uses the Area of People platform to communicate with you and your neighbours. For example, a property manager can post announcements about upcoming maintenance, share practical information about your home and neighbourhood, manage all service and repair requests, and ask for your opinion via a survey.
 
Area of People does not manage or rent property, nor is it responsible for handling repair requests.
I forgot my password, what should I do?

That's annoying! Open the app and enter your e-mail address. Then press 'Forgot password'. Enter the email address for which you want to recover your password. An email will be sent to that email address with a verification code to recover the password.

What about my privacy?

Ensuring the privacy of all users on the platform is paramount for Area of People. You decide how visible you want to be to your neighbours. See our Privacy policy if you want to know more about how we handle your data.

How can I delete or move my account?

If you move, your account will be deleted by the administrator. You do not have to do anything for this.
